--POSITION SUMMARY--
OurProduction Technicianis responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks involved in the preparation, assembly, modification, and quality inspection of vehicles and equipment. This role ensures that all components and systems are installed, tested, and completed according to company standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.--
RESPONSIBILITIES--

In-Service Preparation: Prepare vehicles for delivery, ensuring all systems are operational and meet customer requirements.--
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Conduct detailed inspections to verify equipment functionality and compliance before delivery.--
Running Boards Installation: Install running boards on vehicles accurately and safely.--
DEF System Relocation: Modify and relocate DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) systems to fit customized vehicle layouts.--
QC1 (Quality Control - Stage 1): Perform initial quality checks during the early stages of vehicle builds.--
Bed Preparation OSB (Open Service Body): Prepare and configure truck beds for open service body installations.--
Bed Preparation FB (Flatbed): Set up flatbeds with necessary modifications and structural preparations.--
Body Boxes Installation: Mount and secure utility or service body boxes to vehicle frames per design.--
Strobe Light Installation: Wire and install strobe warning lights according to specifications.--
Chassis Preparation OSB: Modify and prepare chassis frames to support open service bodies.--
Chassis Preparation FB: Customize chassis for flatbed installations, ensuring structural integrity.--
Fuel Tank Relocation: Reposition fuel tanks to accommodate specific body or equipment installations.--
PTO (Power Take-Off) Installation: Install and configure PTO units for auxiliary equipment operation.--
Vanair Under Deck Installation: Mount and wire under-deck air compressor systems, including Vanair units.--
MT Build: Assist in mechanical/technical builds including custom installations and system integrations.--
5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization.--
Other projects and tasks as assigned.----

REQUIREMENTS--
MUST HAVE--

Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed.--
Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.--
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.--
Strong team player.--
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude--
Must be able to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors.--
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.--
Basic written communication skills and proficiency in using a tablet
Working onsite in Fort Wayne Corporate HQ--

NICE TO HAVE--

Familiarity with commercial truck chassis and equipment installation.--
Certification in automotive technology or diesel mechanics.--
