Plant Engineering Manager Bowling Green, OH areaSalary up to 130K + bonus potential
Fast-paced manufacturer is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to work in their mass production manufacturing organization. As the Plant Engineering Manager, you will report to the Plant Manager and will oversee the engineering and maintenance teams. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Lead, coach and mentor the engineering and maintenance teams and meeting company quality expectations
• Champion the established engineering capital budget and work with corporate team members to establish and track
• Understand and maximize plant capacity and machine utilization
• Lead Industry 4.0 initiatives for the plant
• Focus and initiate continuous improvement activity for the site
• Oversee the launch engineering team to ensure that launch activity is meeting scheduled deadlines
• Oversee and improve the plant preventative maintenance program
• Lead efforts to minimize downtime
• Monitor and improve engineering and maintenance KPIs and metrics
• Hold engineering and maintenance staff accountable to team and plant goals
• Ensure that the plant is laid out to maximize efficiencies
• Interface with customers as a plant technical expert Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, leading and directing the engineering and maintenance staff, delegating engineering tasks, holding the engineering team accountable to goals and initiatives and improving established systems.   REQUIREMENTS for the Plant Engineering Manager:1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, ideally a technical degree, with at least three years of related manufacturing engineering management experience2. Experience overseeing manufacturing and/or process engineers 3. Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments 4. Experience with continuous improvement activities, including scrap reduction, increasing efficiencies, etc. 5. Experience with preventative maintenance programs 6. Experience overseeing capital equipment projects 7. A strong understanding of plant capacity and machine utilization 8. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Automotive supplier experience 2. Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
