For more information, please visit our website at or connect with us on LinkedIn or Twitter.DescriptionTitle: Production SupervisorLocation: Maumee, OHShift: 3rd Shift 11pm-7:30am Sunday-FridayPay: Based on Experience Overview: Under the general supervision of the Production Superintendent, this position is responsible for the day to day running of the production department. Responsible for meeting all QC, production, and shipping requirements in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Works with the QC laboratory, shipping/receiving and maintenance departments in developing and implementing quality, production, and maintenance programs.Essential Job Duties:Plan, organize and control the day to day activities of the Production Department to meet customer requirements including the scheduling of orders, manpower planning (including overtime) and oversee the effective use of equipment to minimize production downtime. Be actively involved in the plant safety programs, reviewing and enforcing all safety and health regulations, providing safety training and conduct accident investigations including root cause analysis and document the investigation through ETQ ETQn required. Conduct and/or assist with continual improvement projects to improve production efficiencies and cost control objectives.Ensure that all employees understand and follow standard operating procedures through training programs and document training within ETQ.ETQlso communicate special instructions to operators when required and to enforce all plant rules and regulations.Manage complaints, employee issues, and coaching/counseling as required. Process personnel time-sheets through the company time-sheet management program. Ensure that good housekeeping practices are always maintained in all areas of the plant.Ensure compliance with hazardous waste programs and hazard material identification Support the laboratory in all areas of quality control including process improvements, sampling and manufacturing techniques, raw material approval and work off programs.Coordinate with Maintenance Department to implement an effective and timely maintenance program to ensure proper equipment life. Enter maintenance work orders into SAP and assign priority. Work with inventory control personnel in measuring and controlling raw material and ink losses through accurate measuring and control systems.Document and report on equipment utilization, department productivity and overtime performance.Report and discuss any manufacturing or delivery problems with Management.Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
