Job DescriptionPlant Manager Job Summary:We are looking for an
experienced and confident plant manager to join our team. In this
role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day
operations on the plant floor while increasing production and
revenue. You will manage shop operations by identifying resource
constraints and develop teams to exploit them, monitor daily
throughput, and increase production by providing leadership and
developing strategic plans. You should be a strong leader with an
analytical mind and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
You will strive to, encourage and implement continuous improvement
ideas among various teams throughout the organization and encourage
a team approach to problem solving and achieving company
goals.Plant Manager Duties and Responsibilities:· Monitor and
manage all operations and processes· Prepare operating reports and
budgets· Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety
regulations· Ensure all compliance needs are met· Manage scheduling
for a fully operational team· Oversee daily floor operations,
product flow and throughput· Develop strategies to increase
productivity and production· Oversee all shipments, incoming
inventory, and storage operations· Optimize productive time for
employees by eliminating unnecessary processes· Practice conflict
resolution among departments and employees· Report and track
expenses to reduce costs· Analyze production metrics and data to
determine areas to improve· Hire and train new employees·
Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working
environment· Ensure all legal requirements, company safety
procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are
metPlant Manager Requirements and Qualifications:· High school
degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business management,
business, or related field preferred; Master's in business
administration or management a plus· 3 years' previous experience
as a plant manager, supervisor, or related position with proven
results· Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and
safety regulations· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft
Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)· Strong
management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams·
Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures· Able
to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently· Excellent
leadership, team building, and management skills· Encouraging to
team and staff; able to mentor and lead· Able to physically stand,
bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds· Good interpersonal skills
and communication with all levels of management· In-depth knowledge
of industry and its place in the market· Able to analyze problems
and strategize for better solutions· Excellent conflict-resolution
and decision-making abilities· Experience with Kaizan events·
Experience with Theory of Constraints· Experience with Root Cause
Analysis· Experience with Set up reduction· Metal forming
