Job Description:

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is working with a manufacturing leader to find an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure the company's accounts receivable portfolio is effectively managed to achieve days' sales outstanding that are at or below targeted levels while maximizing collectability. This position contributes to the goals of the Finance and Accounting Department by making recommendations regarding as well as leading the implementation of business processes and procedures that will support revenue growth, minimize risk, lower bad debt expense and improve earnings (EBITDA). Job Duties

• Develop and implement policies and procedures regarding the Company's credit and collections efforts
• Conduct credit reviews on new customers to determine creditworthiness and establish credit terms on new accounts.
• Responsible for monitoring customer accounts/order credit hold status
• Work with collection agencies and outside counsel to collect outstanding accounts, including deciding whether to continue informal collection efforts to pursue legal action
• Provide excellent customer support to enable customers to make payments and exercise independent judgment to resolve outstanding balances, including approval of payment plans and other means to promptly resolve outstanding balances
• This role will cross-train in several different areas of Accounting & Finance and can expect to assist the department as requested.
• Process credit card payments and apply cash receipts to Accounts Receivable balances daily
• Ensure that overdue amounts are collected by making calls to customers
• Accurately and timely complete sales reporting as needed
• Add and maintain contact information on both new and existing customers
• Complete timely reconcilement of general ledger account and bank accounts
• Perform financial analysis (e.g., margin, reserves, ratio, etc.)
• Complete required work for various audits (e.g., schedules, & various PBC analysis)
• Take an active role in month-end closing & reportingQualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other closely related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounting with an emphasis on general accounting (AR, AP, Payroll, and General Ledger) is required; experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required, as well as Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
