The Rapid Response RN has advanced clinical expertise through education and experience. - The rapid response RN assesses and stabilizes the patient condition. - Rapid response RN collaborates with direct care givers to organized clinical information for communication to the patient's provider.

1. - Rounds on all patients transferred out of the ICU within the last 48 hours. -
2. - Rounds on all patients who are known to be clinically compromised.
3. - Assists the staff member is assessing and stabilizing the patient's condition.
4. - Assists the staff member in organizing clinical data to be communicated to the patient's provider.
5. - Assists with patient transfer to a higher level of care.

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or be working towards a degree (must complete the degree within 5 years).
  
• Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries, requires effective interpersonal skills. - Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
  
• Must have a minimum of 5 years current experience in critical care, emergency room or advanced practice role.
  
• Must be licensed in the State of Ohio to practice as a Registered Nurse. - -
  
• Must maintain BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certification.
