The clerk will also:Perform buying duties when necessaryPrepare purchase orders and send to suppliersMaintain purchasing records and filesAudit orders to ensure prices are according to agreements or contracts and report any discrepanciesMake purchasing decisions for spot buying of products not covered by agreements or contractsFollow all SBD purchasing policies and regulationsContact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, missed or late, and other problemsTrack the status of requisitions, contracts, and ordersRespond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status and changesMaintain clean and organized work areaAbide by all SBD policies and procedures Follow all SBD safety rules and regulations Identify concerns and provide insight for continuous improvement opportunitiesOther related departmental duties as assigned by the Manager or designeeWho You AreHigh School Diploma or GEDTechnology skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, iSeries, Infor PowerlinkExperience in the development and processing of order requisitionsAbility to provide professional customer and personal servicesTroubleshooting and problem solving skillsEffective interpersonal and communication skills Must be self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently or with a groupWhat You'll ReceiveYou'll receive a competitive salary and a great benefits plan:Medical, dental, life, vision, wellness program, disability, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off and tuition reimbursement.Discounts on Stanley Black & Decker tools and other partner programs.How You'll Feel We want our company to be a place you'll want to be - and stay.
