In fact, we're the only hospital in northwest Ohio to receive this honor. -Position Summary:RNs play a vital role in the collaboration and implementation of the continuum of care for their patients. - It is never the same each day in terms of patient interaction and scope of treatments. - This position is ideal for candidates that want to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills to make a true difference in their patient's health and well-being.Unit Overview:24 Bed Unit - Blended Unit of both Med Surg and Intermediate patients. -4:1 Patient to RN ratioPatient Population: -Orthopedic Trauma patients from our Level 1 Trauma Center ER, Post-Orthopedic Surgeries (Joint Replacements, Fractures, Back Surgeries), Wound Vac, Hemovac, JP Drains, as well as patients with Drips (Insulin, Cardizem, and Heparin)Specialized with: -Traction set-up, Trapeze, set-up, Continuous Passive Motion Machines, and External Fixation DevicesGenerations 7 acute care -will offer a wide variety of experiences, as they receive patients with a wide range of diagnoses. - -**We are working to become certified in Geriatric Hip Fractures.Education and Experience

• BSN Preferred
• Current Ohio RN license
• Current CPR / BLS
• Specialty certifications as requiredPhysical Requirements
  • Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to lift medium materials (50lb max), non-material handling; continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squatting
