Job Description:

Responsible for providing a broad variety of member service functions, including opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, taking consumer loan applications and closing consumer-business loans, balancing the vault, balancing the branch, and providing assistance to MSR I as needed. Handles various IRA transactions, including opening new accounts, transfers and withdrawals. Responsible for assisting member with online and mobile banking, including bill pay. Responsible for building member relationships by actively uncovering and evaluating members' financial needs, offering products/services to meet those needs, and answering members' questions regarding Credit Union services. Ensures that members and prospective members are promptly and professionally served. Provides assistance to members by researching and solving account problems. Must have strong communications skills. Must be able to handle all functions of MSR I.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES*
*Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of member transactions.*

* Assists members in opening and closing deposit accounts. Gathers information, assists members in selecting appropriate products and services, completes all necessary documentation, enters information into the computer system, and handles initial deposits.
* Assists members with Consumer and Home Equity loans. Gathers necessary information, enters loan applications, conducts appropriate follow-up and conducts loan closings. Loads indirect loans into the computer system as needed.
* Assists members with opening new IRA accounts. Handles IRA transfers and withdrawals as needed.
* Assists members with Certificates of Deposit and questions related to certificates.
* Researches and resolves problems for members as needed. Addresses member requests and inquiries in person, by phone and by email.
* Is knowledgeable about all of the Credit Union's products/services.
* Strives to exceed member expectations and anticipate needs through skillful questioning, listening, communicating benefits, gaining commitment and addressing member concerns.
* Follows all established Credit Union standards, policies and procedures in serving members.
* Assists members with online banking, mobile banking and bill pay, including registering and troubleshooting member issues.
* Inputs information to accurately print member instant issue debit cards, balances and cleans the machine as needed.

*Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of branch functions.*

* Balances the vault as assigned. Helps disburse cash to MSR I in correct denominations.
* Balances the Branch at the end of the day as assigned.
* Provides assistance to MSR I with questions, transactions and teller procedures as needed. Assists with MSR I over/shorts.
* Provides assistance with training MSR's as needed.
* Opens and closes the branch as needed, including opening and closing the vault and ensuring that the vault and branch are secure.
* Orders and counts cash supplies as assigned.
* Maintains security of assigned cash.
* Balances the ATM. Performs encoding and check imaging duties as assigned.
* Contacts maintenance and repair personnel for branch equipment as needed.

* Employs service skills to establish new member relationships, open new accounts and loans, conduct appropriate follow-up and assist members in solving problems.
* Ensures that members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Performs research as needed.
* Provides requested information to members in person, by telephone, by email, or by mail, according to what is authorized and established policies and standards.
* Actively suggests products/services of the Credit Union, or refers members to appropriate departments to help meet members' financial needs.
* Receives and processes changes of name, address, and other account information as needed.
* Ensures that members are informed of eligibility for membership, rates, fees, policies and procedures.
* Maintains confidentiality and security of member information.
* Ensures that the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected.

*Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with Credit Union personnel and with management.*

* Coordinates functions with related departments and Branches and assists Credit Union personnel as needed.
* Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
* Completes required reports and records as needed.
* Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.

*Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.*

* Performs a variety of miscellaneous member services, including Notary Public service and Savings Bonds purchases, redemptions and transfers.
* Stays informed regarding changes in products/services, policies and procedures, lending processes and regulatory requirements.
* Ensures that work area is clean, well maintained, and secure.
* Tracks sales for the MSR incentive program.
* Performs related clerical duties as required.
* All other duties as assigned.
