OverviewThe Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. Comprehensive Health CoverageJob RequirementsThe Lab Customer Service Tech performs as a customer service representative by serving as the initial contact for clients, handling highly confidential information, solving client problems of a general nature and providing quality reporting of patient results. -Provides clerical support for lab and hospital staff /this is a heavy phone work position. - -Responsibilities include: -

  • Able to move about hospital and between workstations -
  • Able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries -
  • Requires effective interpersonal skills and a high degree of discretion -
  • Responsible for the tracking of specimens, billing and distribution of results from testing sent to various laboratories -
  • Complies with requirements of accreditation (JCAHO, CAP) and regulatory agencies by attending in-services and continuing lab education -
  • Perform other duties as required
    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. -
    • Must have a minimum of (2) years of college or have a minimum of (2) years experience in a hospital, computer or office environment. -
    • Preferred medical terminology and previous customer service experience. -
    • Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer and type 35 wpm, or have verifiable data entry experience. -
