Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for ensuring all materials are procured to support the plants finished good plan to meet customer demand for the Hometown Food Company Manages and develops the Material Planning team which includes 3 direct reports Company Lead for the execution of Material Planning and Supplier On-boarding Act as a single point of contact for all Material opportunities Leads the execution of all Site Level Execution Agreement activities Orchestrates weekly material planning meetings and daily communication of changes through the operations Lead through decision making in routine and non-routine situations Manages all bulk materials and inbound railroad relationship Leads supplier conversations and various material transitions Ensures correctness and timely execution of cycle counts, Line Delivery counts, and overall inventory accuracy Manage key initiatives like supplier transitions, ingredient changes, and New Item introductions by working closely with cross-functional teams Works across multiple supplier-customer relationships (internal and external) to develop the best approaches to achieve our end customers needs Coordinates and implements efficiency and cost savings opportunities for the Supply Chain team Other responsibilities as assignedSELECTION CRITERIAEducation Bachelors Degree Required: Supply Chain Management or equivalent preferred APICs certification a plusExperience 2-5 years of experience in production planning and/or supply chain or equivalent Project leadership preferred Operations experience preferredOther Ability to develop and recommend the process, and system improvements Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and MS Word Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams, both plant and corporate Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong organization and time management
