Job Description:

Insight Global is looking for a Regional Sales Manager. This candidate will be working remotely within 2-3 hours of either Toledo or Philadelphia. This candidate will be building and maintaining strong relationships with customers within their specific sales region. They will help drive profitability and the long-term value of their specific accounts. The Regional Sales Manager will also act as a main contact towards assigned customers, drive overall focus on those customer needs, and work together with other sales managers. Other responsibilities that will fall under the Regional Sales Manager umbrella include identifying new customers and new opportunities in existing customers to maximize the regions performance for Perstorp products and maximizing a margin and profitability at each assigned customer

- Manage and organize sales activities and resources within defined region, and drive and manage the sales process, incl. quotation development (within volume and price parameters defined by Business/ Sales Mgmt.), negotiations, closing of contracts (within volume and price parameters defined by Business/ Sales Mgmt.) and entry of agreement and customer info (incl. price, volume, payment terms, contacts, customer requirements, customer solvency) into systems. Ensure efficient territory planning

- Provide input to Businesses and Sales on effect of short-term tactics, when deviating from strategic plans

- Coordinate internal interfaces within and across Business Areas and other functional organizations. i.e. Customer Service, Technical Sales Support, Innovation to optimally serve customers

- Execute on decisions related to claims and complaints

- Provide monthly input into forecasting systems for the assigned region

- Develop understanding of customers demand for products relevant to Perstorp, and continuously monitor expected developments in usage and plans with potential strategic implications for Perstorp and communicate to Business / Sales Management / Innovation

- Provide input to traditional marketing tasks (e.g. offerings development, customer segmentation, pricing, margin management, market intelligence, marketing / promotion materials)

- Provide information related to own activities in Salesforce and other systems i.e. visit reports and monthly sales reports, expense reports, quotations, quality complaints, account plans, etc.

- Provide agreed customer prices and validity to CSO quickly so they can process orders on time. Use correct tools to do this

- Attend internal meetings and participate in working groups as and when required

- Preparation of Monthly report and other reports as and when needed

- Prepare expenses on a monthly basis in the correct format and systems

- Travel as and when needed to participate in meetings and customer visits

- Be the out of office hours contact for certain businesses should they need to contact someone urgent via telephone

- Follow up the payment behavior of the customers in coordination with credit team

- Follow up delivery of products to the customers in coordination with Customer service

- Deciding quotations and final agreement of terms/ negotiation with customers in defined region (within parameters / pricing range set by Business / Sales, supply details set by Supply Chain)

- Decide, based on credit policy, if Perstorp should serve specific customers


- Masters degree in Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field

- Has 10+ years of experience within a sales role or environment

o Sales experience within industry

- Has previous work experience at Exxon Mobile, BP, or Lubrizol
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field

- Has 5+ years of experience within a sales role or environment

- Experience using PACE, Salesforce, Cognos, Windows, etc.

o Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
