Job Description Job Description RBB Job Description Job Title: Shipping Specialist Department: Shipping Reports To: Production Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared By: Ross Lilley 4/16/2015 Revisions: 9/9/2016 (RAL); 2/5/2018 (ERC); 3/13/2018 (RA) SUMMARY The Shipping Specialist is responsible for assuring the accuracy of all shipping documents and forms, along with packaging all shipments according to customer specifications and in compliance with all government regulations, and packaging correctly to protect assemblies from internal and external damage during shipping and storage. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: This list describes the general task expectations. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain accurate records, Move Tickets, Project Documentation. Package according to customer specifications. Maintain customer packaging specifications. Adhere to all quality procedures. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Maintain UPS Log. Filing signed copies of Packing Slip and copy to the Customer Liaison. Compare Packing Slip to Sales Order for accuracy. Order and maintain packaging supplies. Knowledge of Syspro. Inspect final units according to appropriate final inspection procedures. Communicate information and issues to the appropriate people. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following list: None ACCOUNTABILITIES AND BASIS FOR EVALUATION: Shipping. C of C Accuracy. Able to work independently. Neat and accurate writing skills. Operation of Tow Motor. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel). Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Physical requirements and work conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reach with hands and arms; all day. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Monday- Friday 6:00AM-3:30PM
