Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing all
warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely
processing of goods. This position is responsible for managing the
flow of inventory from receiving through shipping, including
international shipments, while maintaining high standards of safety
and compliance. The Warehouse Manager leads a team to execute order
picking, inventory control, and distribution center activities,
ensuring that customer demands and supply chain requirements are
met consistently. By leveraging Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
and other technologies, the manager drives continuous improvement
initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Ultimately, this role ensures that the warehouse functions as a key
component of the broader supply chain, supporting business growth
and customer satisfaction across the United States. Duties and
Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse operations including
shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management to
meet company performance goals. Manage and coordinate international
shipping processes to ensure compliance with regulations and timely
delivery of goods. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to
monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize storage and
distribution workflows. Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to
maintain high productivity, safety standards, and quality control.
Lead consumable QA inspection process for incoming consumable media
and suggest revisions to the process where needed. Collaborate with
supply chain, logistics, and distribution teams to streamline
operations and resolve any issues impacting order fulfillment.
Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business
Administration, or a related field. In lieu of formal education,
work experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of
experience in warehouse operations with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or management role. Proven knowledge of warehouse
management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including
international shipping regulations. Strong understanding of supply
chain operations and distribution center management. Preferred
Qualifications: Certification in logistics or supply chain
management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP). Experience working in a small
to medium sized distribution center or multi-site warehouse
environment. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to
drive process improvements. Proficiency in data analysis and
reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead
change initiatives. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The required
skills such as warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and
inventory control are applied daily to ensure smooth and accurate
handling of goods throughout the warehouse lifecycle. Proficiency
in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) enables the manager to track
inventory in real-time, optimize storage space, and coordinate
order fulfillment efficiently. Knowledge of international shipping
is essential for managing compliance and logistics for cross-border
shipments. Supply chain operations and distribution center
expertise allow the manager to collaborate effectively with other
departments to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
Preferred skills like Lean methodologies and data analysis support
continuous improvement efforts, helping to reduce costs and enhance
overall warehouse performance. Work Environment: The environment
may include exposure to varying temperatures, depending on the
season and warehouse conditions. Noise levels can be moderate to
high, with sounds from machinery, forklifts, and other operational
equipment. The role involves prolonged periods of standing,
walking, and occasional lifting or moving of materials. The
Warehouse Manager may also spend time in an office within or
adjacent to the warehouse for administrative tasks, reporting, and
planning. Physical Demands: Must be able to remain standing for
extended periods. Regular use of a computer and other office
machinery, such as printers and touch screens Must be able to lift
up to 50lbs Frequent communication via telephone, teams, and in
