Job Description:
At Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB), Michigan's leading advocate for
agricultural communities, we are looking for a dedicated Casualty
Claims Representative to enhance our members' experience through
the effective resolution of casualty claims. As a key member of our
Claims Processing team, the successful candidate will manage a
caseload of casualty claims, ensuring prompt and fair settlement
according to policy terms and legal obligations, while upholding
our commitment to the economic interests of Michigan's farmers.
Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims in accordance
with company guidelines and state regulations. Determine the extent
of the company's liability and negotiate claim settlements in a
timely and fair manner. Interact with policyholders, witnesses, and
others to gather critical claim information. Analyze and interpret
policy terms to make informed decisions on claim handling. Maintain
accurate and detailed records of claims activity using claims
tracking software. Communicate effectively with stakeholders,
providing updates and clear explanations regarding claims status
and processes. Collaborate with legal counsel on litigation cases
and represent the company in court when necessary. Proficient in
claims management software and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical
and negotiation skills. Excellent oral and written communication
abilities. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and
organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
401k Certified Claims Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
Licensed Claims Adjuster - State of Michigan.
