American Plastics is a privately owned injected molded plastics company that designs and manufactures workhorse items in the United States, utilizing green processes and superior engineering. American Plastics is a growing company, having tripled the company size in the last five years and expanded the production footprint to Missouri, Ohio, South Carolina, and Arizona.

American Plastics is seeking a Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, who will provide a broad range of organizational, leadership development, and to drive the consistency and strength of the company's overall narrative across all operating regions. This is a highly visible job with exposure to the executive leadership team.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Oversee design, delivery and compliance of employee training programs including onboarding and orientation
• Will be responsible for proactive planning and executing regulatory compliance activities (including training) throughout the company
• Develop and implement strategies and training matrix that enable managers to acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to carry out their work and lead effectively
• Will be responsible for design, delivery, and implementation of on-going program management of leadership development learning opportunities thru use of internal channels and outside vendors
• Partner with community educational programs, municipalities, and educational institutions to obtain training resources and funding
• Provide leadership, assistance, and administration for apprenticeship and internship programs throughout the company
• Provide administration of Company's Educational Assistance Program
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs, leveraging metrics and insights to drive continuous improvement
• Work closely with management at all levels to hold purpose driving organizational development and succession planning discussions on a routine cadence including organization structure changes
• Assist with review and creation for critical presentation requests
• Assist with companywide annual review process
• Assist with social responsibility and compliance audits
• Oversee Learning Management System, employee training and tracking
• Other tasks as assigned
  
  Requirements
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or other relevant field of study
  • 5 plus years' experience should be in learning and development, talent development, human resources, instructional design or related discipline
  • Highly organized and have ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Must be adept at working with individuals at various roles and leadership levels, collecting feedback, and improving processes based on information received
  • Experience working directly with CEOs, C-level executives, and VPs; ability to engage with and influence senior executives and leadership teams
  • Enjoys leading and/or supporting cross-functional initiatives in a deadline driven environment
  • Must have an adaptable communication style for various audiences
  • Must be able to travel to sites as needed
