Job Description:
Ohio Truck Sales, a privately-owned business, is a national
supplier of (2,000 annual) refurbished long hood semi-trucks with a
unique refurbishing process to serve owner operators throughout the
country. For the used semi-truck market, Ohio truck Sales is the
premier supplier of professional owner operator, Kenworth &
Peterbilt semi-trucks nationwide, with a "Carvana" type model. We
offer the country's largest and fastest growing used truck
inventory for our customers to choose from. Privately owned and
operated since 2010, Ohio Truck Sales is built on a tradition of
company culture. Our customer focused traits have promoted the
growth of our business to include sales and finance services.
Ohio Truck Sales corporate office is based out of Sandusky, OH with
manufacturing facilities located in Clyde, Ohio; with approximately
200 employees. Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources Director
will function as a strategic partner to the executive team of the
organization. This individual will be responsible for directing and
HR function that will be responsible for building an annual
strategic HR operation plan, workforce planning, recruiting,
leadership development, performance management, employee
engagement, and compensation/benefits.
The incumbent will serve in an advisory capacity to the CEO and
management team on organization-wide issues. This position has 6
direct reports and will support a staff of 200+ employees (growing
to 250+ in 2023) which includes - sales, finance, auto body
technicians and mechanics, operations, supply chain and
accounting.Specific duties are intended to describe activities that
support the summary above. The list is not all inclusive - other
duties may be required to cover the breadth and depth of the
position.
Planning1. Develop a comprehensive human resources strategy and
implementation plan that will allow the organization to grow to a
multi-site organization2. Assess the current workforce
capabilities, determine future workforce needs and develop a plan
to close the gap through talent acquisition, employee development
and coaching, and knowledge transfer among employees3. Develop and
deploy talent acquisition and onboarding processes designed to
acquire and retain high performance talent; this includes preparing
job descriptions and determine the optimal recruiting channels for
hourly, professional, and executive level employees
Operations1. As a business leader, be an active participant on the
executive team and participate in operational planning
Supervision1. Supervise the Human Resources Department, the HR
Manager is a direct report.2. Supervise (2) HR Generalists3.
Supervise and direct the Recruiting Department; (3) Recruiters
Qualifications Include:1. At least five years of progressive Human
Resources experience in small to midsize companies; ideally in
manufacturing with multi-site responsibility2. Bachelor's degree in
business, psychology, human resources management/development, etc.,
preferred3. Experience recruiting all levels of talent4.
Intermediate/Advanced Experience in Microsoft Office including
Outlook
