Aramark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Worker Lead at one of our esteemed education sector locations. This role is pivotal in providing excellent service and operational leadership within our food services team. As a leader, you will guide and inspire a team committed to excellence and innovation, reflecting Aramark's dedication to enhancing the dining experiences of students and staff. This position involves direct food preparation, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Supervising the daily operations of the food service staff to ensure alignment with the quality and safety standards of Aramark and the respective educational institution. Coordinating and executing daily meal preparation, ensuring timely availability and quality of food. Training and mentoring new staff and conducting performance reviews. Maintaining records of inventory and placing orders to replenish stock avoiding wastage and ensuring cost-efficiency. Ensuring all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and in accordance with health and safety regulations. Handling cash operations and daily sales reporting as required. Collaborating with management and other operational teams to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints regarding food quality or service. Strong leadership and people management skills Knowledge of food safety handling procedures and regulations Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in basic computer applications and kitchen equipment Effective problem-solving skills ServSafe certification is highly preferred Any relevant culinary certifications or food handling permits according to local health regulations
