Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position We’re hiring an experienced
Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Oregon, OH. You
will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the treatment, care, and
needs of patients with breathing disorders. Minimum Requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or
Cardiopulmonary Science program. Current state Respiratory
Therapist license in good standing. Registered Respiratory
Therapist (RRT) credential required. Minimum one year experience as
an RRT in an acute care or hospital setting. BLS certification
required. Experience with mechanical ventilation management,
including invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Competence with
arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation. Experience
performing suctioning, tracheostomy care, and endotracheal
intubation using direct or video laryngoscopy. Ability to perform
12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function
testing (e.g., NIF, VC). Familiarity with oximetry and capnography
monitoring and routine chest x-ray review related to respiratory
care. Ability to assist with bronchoscopic procedures, chest tube
management, and PleurX/drainage devices. ACLS preferred. Ability to
document respiratory care accurately in patient charts and perform
necessary data entry for therapy charging. Willingness to
participate in equipment set-up, preventative maintenance, and
facility-specific protocols. Assignment Details Facility Type:

Shift Name: Nights. Shift Details: Night, 3x12. Duration: 13-week
assignment. Number of Open Positions: 2. Candidate may be required
to transport patients into and out of the facility as clinically

within short driving distances. Standard Job Description
Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering
intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically
prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with
minimal supervision. Evaluates patients and recommends treatment
plans. Explains purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and
equipment to patients and provides necessary education upon
discharge to home. Conducts physician-prescribed treatments of a
routine nature, operating various ventilatory equipment, both
invasive and non-invasive, oxygen and aerosol devices, and
nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications,
humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation. Performs chest
physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods. Performs oximetry
and capnography monitoring according to policy. Reviews chest
x-rays to determine need for further evaluation. Performs 12-lead
EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition. Performs pulmonary function
studies according to policy. Assists with procedures relating to
respiratory care (e.g., bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy
assistance, chest tube placement). Performs drainage of chest via
PleurX or similar devices where applicable. Performs tracheostomy
care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes when
indicated. Performs arterial puncture and interprets results to
determine ventilation efficiency. Follows laboratory policies for
specimen handling and testing in hospitals with moderate complexity
labs. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and
ACLS guidelines. Performs insertion and removal of endotracheal
tubes using free-hand technique and/or video laryngoscope. Sets up
and self-tests ventilatory equipment, operates and monitors
mechanical ventilation, and assists with preventative maintenance
and repair as needed. Documents treatments and patient responses in
respiratory care records and patient chart. Communicates with
attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficiency and
reports necessary information during shift handoffs. Maintains
accurate respiratory therapy charging and performs other duties as
