Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation invites newly graduated nurses to
apply for our Registered Nurse Residency program, designed to
provide an extensive hands-on experience in both facility-based and
home-based patient care settings. This unique program supports our
mission to deliver the highest quality care through a network of
inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health and hospice
agencies. Our goal is to equip you with the skills, confidence, and
real-world experience necessary to embark on a successful nursing
career in various dynamic healthcare environments. Provide direct
and individualized nursing care to patients based on the
application of scientific nursing principles. Document patient care
services by charting in patient and department records according to
accepted regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and
interpret and record electronic displays. Initiate patient
education plan as prescribed by physician; teach patients and
families how to manage medication and home care needs. Participate
in clinical rounds with multidisciplinary team members to evaluate
patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly. Report any
concerns or incidents to nurse supervision or a responsible
healthcare team member to ensure prompt resolution and follow-up.
Strong clinical skills with a commitment to ethical nursing
practice. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to operate specialized medical equipment. Basic proficiency
in electronic health records and medical software. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Registered Nurse
(RN) licensure in the respective state. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
within 90 days of hire.
