Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling License: Corresponding state
licensure required Certifications: Must obtain Qualified Mental
Health Professional and Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist
credentials within 120 days of hire. Must possess CAADC credential
or be on an active, approved registered certification development
plan within six weeks of hire. Must-Have: - Ability to engage
adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use
disorders, their families, and supporters. - Expertise in helping
clients identify their service needs and preferences. - Competence
in providing trauma-informed care and appropriately handling crisis
situations. - Ability to use technology competently and demonstrate
effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and
sensitivity to diverse experiences. Description: As a Crisis
Therapist, you will provide screening, assessment, and crisis
intervention services via telehealth to adult members of the
community who are referred by local authorities. You will determine
the appropriate level of care and services needed, ensuring the
least restrictive setting for these services. You will provide
transitional support, advocacy, and care coordination services
in-person and/or via telehealth until adults initiate or resume
ongoing mental health and/or substance use treatment services. You
will be required to be available for calls that are referred for
screening and intervention by local authorities. Crisis screening
services will be available 24 hours each day, including holidays
and weekends. You must be available to respond immediately to
crisis calls during scheduled on-call hours, sharing
responsibilities with other team members and assisting with
after-hours coverage voluntarily as per your schedule. You will
provide crisis intervention and ongoing mental health treatment
services to clients who receive intensive case management services,
including those on active Assisted Outpatient Treatment orders.
Services will be delivered in-person in the office or community
and/or via telehealth. Regular working hours will include Monday
through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 7 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5
PM, with flexible scheduling opportunities based on program needs.
Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required. You will receive
mileage reimbursement when using your personal vehicle, and any
training will be covered. Medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K,

demonstrate effective organizational, verbal, and written
communication skills. You should possess the ability to develop
therapeutic alliances with mental health consumers, their families,
and supporters. You will assist consumers in identifying their
service needs and preferences, developing initial treatment plans,
and transitioning to longer-term services based on these plans. You
must be nonjudgmental and demonstrate sensitivity to the unique
needs and diverse experiences of individuals with mental illness
