Job Description:
Job Description Location: Northwestern Ohio, the second largest
city in Northwest Ohio and one of few in the region where the
population is currently growing. About 47 miles south of Toledo,
108 miles north of Dayton, and 137 miles west of Akron. Facility:
Hospital offering a range of medical services, including emergency
care, surgical procedures, and diagnostic imaging. The hospital is
known for its commitment to providing high-quality,
patient-centered care and has various specialized departments,
including a cancer center and a heart and vascular institute.
Opportunity: - Establish and lead a community-based vascular
surgery program - Provide advanced vascular surgical care,
including Abdominal and thoracic aneurysmal disease, Carotid artery
disease, Hemodialysis access, Peripheral vascular disease and limb
salvage. - Perform both open and endovascular procedures. - Manage
vascular conditions with medical therapy, lifestyle modification,
and non-surgical interventions. - Maintain a weekly schedule of - 2
clinic days - 3 procedural/surgical days - Take 10 night/weekend
call shifts per month (does not include daytime coverage). - Share
call responsibilities with A PRN vascular surgeon, A vascular
surgery APP, and An OSU vascular surgeon (phone support only) -
Supervise advanced practice provider(s) involved in vascular care
delivery. - Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
with cardiology, interventional radiology, and other specialties. -
Participate in the development and future expansion of the program,
including, Recruitment of an additional vascular surgeon and APP by
end of 2027 and Transition to a hybrid operating room (construction
planned to complete by 2027) - Deliver patient-centered care in a
high-quality, community-focused setting. - Educate and counsel
patients and families on treatment options, wellness, and disease
prevention. - Maintain responsive and open communication with
referring physicians. - Participate in institutional service
activities at the department, college, and medical center levels. -
Serve as a preceptor and provide training to Medical students,
Residents, Fellows, Nursing staff, and Allied health professionals
- Opportunity for program leadership based on experience and
interest. Compensation: - Base salary- to be discussed at interview
- Group goals focused on quality, operations and productivity and
determined by Division Director - Potential to earn annual bonus
based on scorecard metrics to be established by the Division
director - One-time signing bonus - Relocation stipend - 176 hours
of vacation time per year with a 240-hour carryover limit - 120
hours of sick time accrued annually - 11 paid holidays per year
(8-hour days) - Annual CME allowance - 401k and 403b tax-deferred
