Highlights of our facility include a Level IIIb 72-bed unit Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that provides care for premature babies as early as 22 weeks gestation and as small as 14 oz.; the region's largest Level II pediatric trauma center; a state-of-the-art cancer center for pediatric cancer patients; and the first dual-certified asthma program for treating both inpatient and outpatients by the Joint Commission in Ohio.

Position Summary:

The Fire Safety Educator will provide fire education to children and families utilizing the Fire Safety House and other fire safety-related materials. They will transport the Fire Safety House, with organization-owned vehicles to and from programs/events. Other duties include, but are not limited to: -

• Be knowledgeable of fire prevention and the education program of the Fire Safety House and assist with the implementation of the program
  
• Provide delivery of the Fire Safety House from the designated storage location to the planned program/event location
  
• Assist with maintenance and stocking -
  
• Provide a report of all trips including mileage, time traveled and time at the event -
  
• Advocate for fire prevention and education to the community at large
  
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent -
    
  • Minimum of three (3) years in the field of fire prevention education -
    
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the field of transportation; Must possess an excellent driving record, proof of required insurance and knowledge of the city and surrounding area
    
  • Must have valid driver's license
    
  • Knowledge in fire safety; able to drive large vehicles and pull trailers; comfortable working with children
    
  • Must be able to lift or carry materials weighing up to 50lbs
