TTH Cardiac Intermediate:

• Our ProMedica Toledo Hospital offers a nationally recognized heart program which boasts a total of 3 Cardiac Intermediate Units, each specializing in medical and pre/post-operative surgical patients.
• Our Cardiac patient population includes CHF, Myocardial Infarction, Atrial and Ventricular Arrhythmias, PPM and ICD Insertion, CABG, Valve Replacement and Repairs, TAVR, and Thoracotomy.
• Each unit ranges in size from 19 - 24 beds, has a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio, and offers a cross-functional team of highly esteemed Cardiologists, RNs, and Nursing Assistants.

  • 19 Bed Unit
  • 4:1 Patient to RN ratio
    
    Patient Population:
    
    Chronic Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Atrial and Ventricular Arrhythmias, Post Stent, PPM Insertion, and ICD Insertion
    
    The Medical Cardiac Intermediate Unit can also be utilized as Intermediate overflow
    
    Position Requirements:
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred
    • Current State license as a Registered Nurse
    • 1 year of experience as an RN
    • Current CPR / BLS Certification
    • Specialty certifications as required for the department
      • RNs for this unit will be required to obtain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification if they have not already obtained this
