In fact, we are the only hospital in northwest Ohio to receive this honor. Position Summary:RNs play a vital role in the collaboration and implementation of the continuum of care for their patients. It is never the same each day in terms of patient interaction and scope of treatments. This position is ideal for candidates that want to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills to make a true difference in their patient's health and well-being. Unit Overview:We are a 39 bed acute care unit with a focus in urology, nephrology and vascular patient's. We have a 4:1 patient to RN ratio working alongside of our NA's. Patient Population:Renal: Hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, acute and chronic kidney disease.Urology: Post op from procedures such as prostate resection, resection of bladder tumors, nephrectomy's, stent placement and continuous bladder irrigation. Vascular: Wound care, clotting disorders, post op from procedures such as vascular bypass, endovascular AAA repairs, and debridement's. We also have overflow of a variety of patient's with other acute care needs. Position RequirementsEducation and ExperienceOhio RN licenseBSN PreferredCurrent BLS1 year of RN experience required - Acute setting preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standingMust be able to lift medium materials (50lb max), non-material handling; continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squattingMust be able to read and speak the English languageProMedica is a mission-based, not-for-profit integrated healthcare organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
