Candidates should be self-starters who like to stay busy. Reliability and flexibility are key as needs are continuously changing in this environment. Candidates who have clinical experience working with children and caregivers. This individual will be working with school-based clients. We work in WONDERFUL districts which include: Keyser Elementary Genoa High School and Middle School Horizon Science Academy-Springfield Crissey ElementaryWe are able to offer schedule flexibility to accommodate your family and or professional needs! This includes a 10-month schedule, where your summers are off.This individual will be working with both outpatient and school-based clients. This would mean that some of their time would in one of our partnered schools and some of their time would be working with outpatient clients.Watch why it is GREAT to be a school-based counselorSUMMARYThe Therapist works under the supervision of the Program or Clinical Manager and is responsible for providing diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and mental health counseling in the office or community at locations convenient to the persons served.This is an hourly position with hours and schedule established to complete the required duties. This position is not exempt from wage and hour regulations as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor and is therefore granted protections under the Wage and Hour Division of the Fair Labor Standards Act.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONRequired: LSW with Bachelor's degree or LPCPreferred: Experience in mental health counselingESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide initial and ongoing assessment, counseling and clinical interventions to a designated caseload. Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy interventions. Integrate Trauma Informed Care practices while working with persons served. Communicate with relevant internal and external care providers to complete ongoing assessment and to coordinate care. Maintain complete and current clinical records regarding all persons served. Achieve productivity goals as assigned. Maintain an active Ohio license, in good standing with the state board. Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional ethics and standards as well as established OhioGuidestone policies. Comply with all state and federal laws regarding protected health information.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform job duties in a manner that's friendly, considerate, and aligned with the agency's Mission, Vision, and Standards of Ethical Conduct. Organize and plan work for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Utilize IT system and software programs in accordance with agency policy. Utilize time off in a manner consistent with agency policy. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by supervisor.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Ability to learn and utilize the agency's Electronic Health Record database and other electronic tools effectively and efficiently within 90 days of hire. Demonstrate a current knowledge of mental health practices. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer services skills. Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and partnerships available for persons served. Demonstrate the ability to effectively function as a team member. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently. Possess and demonstrate effective organizational skills. Demonstrate the ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment. Must have either a LSW or LPCAt OhioGuidestone we care about the health and safety of our employees.
