The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies. Position Summary :

RNs play a vital role in the collaboration and implementation of the continuum of care for their patients. - It is never the same each day in terms of patient interaction and scope of treatments. - This position is ideal for candidates that want to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills to make a true difference in their patient's health and well-being.

Unit Overview :

24 Bed Unit - Blended Unit of both Med Surg and Intermediate patients.

4:1 Patient to RN ratio

Patient Population: - Orthopedic Trauma patients from our Level 1 Trauma Center ER, Post-Orthopedic Surgeries (Joint Replacements, Fractures, Back Surgeries), Wound Vac, Hemovac, JP Drains, as well as patients with Drips (Insulin, Cardizem, and Heparin)

Specialized with: -Traction set-up, Trapeze, set-up, Continuous Passive Motion Machines, and External Fixation Devices

Generations 7 acute care -will offer a wide variety of experiences, as they receive patients with a wide range of diagnoses.

**We are working to become certified in Geriatric Hip Fractures.

Education and Experience

BSN Preferred

Current Ohio RN license

Current CPR / BLS

Specialty certifications as required

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing

Must be able to lift medium materials (50lb max), non-material handling; continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squatting
