Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking an Manufacturing Manager for their facility near the South Bend, IN area.As Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing and directing all operations activities to achieve safe, efficient and economical production within established manufacturing costs; and to maintain the highest standards of quality and volume requirements.This job will have the following responsibilities:Responsible for leading plant safety efforts and driving safety cultureManage a team of 18+ FTE direct reports and 350+ non-direct reportsDevelop short and long-term plans, policies, programs, operating procedures and objectivesDelegate responsibilities, provide guidance and give direction to the floor Supervision and Operations co-workersMaintain close surveillance over operations through reports, staff meetings, observation and personal contact to assure integration of workflow, timely production, budgetary conformance and utilization of personal skills and machinesAssist and advise others to resolve problems and implement permanent corrective actionAct as a liaison between co-workers and management team to keep people informed on matters of communication, decisions and policiesIdentify and implement creative cost reduction opportunitiesQualifications & RequirementsBS/BA degree or equivalent10+ years manufacturing experienceMust have strong understanding f sanitation standards such as FDA or USDAExcellent communication and presentation skills and demonstrates attention to detail.Formal CI training a plus!
