Overview:
The Food and Beverage Manager will focus on hospitality and service
excellence and will provide high level expertise, support, and
leadership to all employees. This position maintains effective
overall management of multiple concepts including two Full-Service
Restaurants, a Buffet outlet, Pool-side Bar, and a Grab and Go
Concept. The F&B Manager also ensures financial performance,
product production, personnel management and training, and service
of safe food in accordance with Cedar Point's standards of
operation and budgetary controls. This position reports to the Food
and Beverage Director.
Responsibilities:
- Management of all food & beverage outlets on the resort
property.
- Staffing, hiring, and orientation of associates for restaurant
outlets.
- Facilitating the training and orientation of new associates and
ensuring ongoing training and education of existing staff.
- Accurate daily reporting of financial and operational issues
within restaurant outlets.
- Ensures all food safety and workplace safety standards are met
by team members.
- Opening, closing, managing shifts, and directing employees in
restaurant outlets.
- Attends all required meetings and planning functions within the
F&B Leadership team including weekly BEO meetings and monthly
F&B Leadership meetings.
- Works with Managers, Chefs and Sous Chefs to ensure all
employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to and ensures that
all hiring, training, and disciplinary standards are met and
documented.
- Sets an expectation of hospitality and professionalism and
manages and mentors team members.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic Food Safety, Alcohol Safety, & Sanitation Training,
ServSafe Training and ServSafe Alcohol will be provided to further
develop your Leadership skills.
- Ability to comply with all company, divisional and state laws
in regard to minor labor laws.
- Ability to demonstrate resort property knowledge and its
procedures, specifically the Food & Beverage Division.
- 3 years Food & Beverage experience in a full-service
environment is required.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet
business needs
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company
policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or
older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal,
DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per
Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial
law.
