JOB DESCRIPTION
Owens Corning's Global Information Services (GIS) provides a
technology platform that supports the company's growing global
business needs. In this organization, the Digital Workplace
Services (DWS) Program Manager is an exciting program and technical
leadership role accountable for the project delivery, life-cycle
management, and continuous improvement within the Digital Workplace
domain. This domain covers solutions and technologies associated
with endpoints and PC's used by the global workforce of Owens
Corning. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to lead
projects and programs across the I&O technology domain.
Working closely with GIS platform owners and key suppliers, this
role provides program leadership and governance for DWS projects
and life-cycle management (LCM) programs. These projects and
programs will focus on the platforms and hardware required by our
global users to enable high performing teams, drive business
growth, and bring a positive experience. Additionally, this role
utilizes key suppliers for daily project management, which enables
broader delivery of strategic objectives.
Reports to: Leader of Digital Workplace Services
Span of Control: Individual contributor; management/partnership of
3rd party vendors and suppliers
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Program Leadership over assigned key initiatives and
projects, while leveraging key suppliers or other project
management resources for day-to-day progress (approximate 40%)
Overall program leadership and accountability for the success of
each project within the program through organization,
prioritization, and planning
Provide input to the project portfolio and participate to the
sequencing and scheduling of large initiatives to best fit our
resource capabilities
Leading the initial project definition - deliverables, project
team, success criteria, etc.
Planning for the overall program and coordination of plans for
individual projects
Monitoring the progress and success of individual initiatives and
projects
Defining the program management governance, controls, and reporting
structure
Managing the individual project budgets
Managing risks and issues - taking corrective actions and/or
escalations as needed
Managing resource utilization across projects
Coordinating communications with stakeholders and ensure regular
project status updates are published
Managing project transition and closure to ensure a smooth support
transition - including documentation
As needed, partnering with relevant OC functions (i.e., Legal, IT
Security) to adhere to global IT requirements through the program
and projects
Stay informed and knowledgeable about OC technology standards and
corresponding roadmap
Provide Program Leadership over the assigned LCM portfolio by
leveraging key suppliers to meet defined objectives (approximate
40%)
Overall program leadership and accountability for the success of
the assigned LCM portfolio through organization, prioritization,
and planning
Leading our key suppliers in planning and assessment for the
assigned LCM portfolio
Defining success metrics and process to track
Partnering with corresponding platform leaders and partners to
continuously improve the refresh process
Leading our key suppliers in the procurement, inventory, and return
of endpoint assets
Managing the assigned LCM portfolio budgets
Managing risks and issues - taking corrective actions and/or
escalations as needed
Managing the stakeholder communications and regular status reports
with success metrics
Managing resource utilization
Leading process improvements or implementation of new technology to
support improvements in the overall LCM
Partnering with global colleagues to share best practices and
consistency of results
As needed, partnering with relevant OC functions (i.e., Legal, IT
Security) to adhere to global IT requirements through the program
and projects
To maximize the value delivered by our key partners, provide strong
and efficient vendor relationship capabilities (approximate
20%)
Establishing a strong relationship with our key partners towards
the achievement of defined deliverables, SLA's, and KPI's -
implement corrective action where needed related to the assigned
LCM portfolio and project work orders
Building strong relationships with product and implementation
providers to drive execution and continuous improvement within the
program, projects, and LCM
Partnering with platform owners to ensure full software and
maintenance compliance keeping costs under control while still
meeting performance targets for the various products and
platforms
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
field
5+ years of experience within Information Technology industry, with
concentration around infrastructure and/or applications and the
following:
Endpoint technologies such as PC's, tablets, etc.
PC operating system and environment such as MS Windows, MacOS or
others
Microsoft O365 features and associated licensing
Network/Connectivity technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo
Alto, etc.
Hosting and Computing technologies such as VMWare, Lenovo, etc.
Process automation within IT platforms
3-5 years' experience in project management experience including
the management of large-scale projects including initiatives with
global reach, technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and
partner team members
1-2 years of full project lifecycle experience
Experience interacting at multiple levels of an organization with a
specific focus on delivering results and strong communication
skills
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge and ability to apply program and project
methodology and techniques
Experience in managing budgets and resource allocation
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business
partners and IT teams
Ability to challenge the current process to drive improvement;
ability to drive change
Leadership Presence: Demonstrates grace and balance under
challenging opportunities; clearly articulates value while
influencing and connecting with others
Convey relevant information clearly with confidence at all levels
within the organization, understanding others through active

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
