Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the administration of the nursing department. This includes but is not limited to: policy development/implementation (in coordination with Regional Clinical Director), organizational planning, the direction of the nursing care delivery and the development and monitoring of standards of nursing practices. This position requires promoting public relations, education, and consultation within assigned units.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Ohio.
- Certified as a Gerontology Nurse preferred.
- At least five years management experience and clinical experience related to geriatric nursing.
- Currently certified in CPR.
- Experience in long-term care facility and with MDS/RAP Summaries and care planning and a working knowledge of Total Quality Improvement process preferred.
