Job Description:

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*


Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:


- Supervise the Quality Department


- Development and maintenance of quality manual, inspection standards and quality audit system compliant to IATF16949, ISO9001, and customer specific requirements


- Monitor customer scorecards and report metrics for evaluation of company performance


- Develop and monitor internal performance metrics to improve internal performance


- Communicate with customers including visits to their facilities to build and maintain relationships


- Handle nonconformance products and returned products, customer concerns, corrective action, PPAP, Gage R&R, warranty claims


- Correspond to client complaints such as trouble of products quality or other issues


- Develop and provide alternative methods to perform and promote continuous improvement of quality management system


- Develop the ability of staff through training and performance evaluation to meet department objectives


- Facilitate employee teams to build cohesiveness and improve the overall results of the respective teams' tasks


- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems


- Responsible for implementing Quality Management System that complies with IATF16949, ISO9001, and customer specific requirements


- Responsible for ensuring that corrective actions are taken for QMS non-conformances and for conducting Management Review Meetings with QMS


- Responsible for Consumer-Centric Warranty Management


- Evaluate the capability of product and work with engineering in solving production problems, improving product capability, and development and approval of new products


- Support a multi-shift operation


- Suspend production to eliminate or stop the manufacture of suspect parts. (Notify Supervisor and / or Quality Department)


- Promote continuous improvement and integration of all management systems into business processes


* Ability to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties


*Supervisory Responsibilities*


- Quality Engineer(s)


*Qualifications / Experience*


- Must have worked in automotive industry and be familiar with automotive processes such as PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, customer portals, etc.


* Ability to analyze and draw inferences from data

* Good communications skills in front of customers

* Logical and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

* Self-motivated professional who is detailed oriented, thought provoking

* Ability to travel to supplier and customer locations when needed


*Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations*


- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university


- IATF16949 certification


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
