Role Summary --- To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team-oriented activities in a positive working environment.--- To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.--- To follow Company policies and display conduct expected of Norplas employees as described in the Company handbook.--- To follow and uphold the safety rules of the Company and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace by:1. Establishing departmental measurables and goals that are monitored, tracked and audited on a regular basis and communicated to employees through daily Team Meetings.2. Maintain and post Open Issues Lists within the department that identify opportunities to improve safety related issues and develop action plans to actively address identified issues in a timely manner.3. Recognize specific achievements within the department regarding improvements in safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.4. Enforce all Norplas safety rules and regulations consistently and hold Team Leaders accountable for enforcing said rules.5. Actively participate in Accident Investigations and correct unsafe conditions in a prudent and timely manner. Key Responsibilities --- Prepare and complete the procedure for the quoting of new business to ensure 100% accuracy of the piece price breakdown forms prior to submitting for approval signatures. Insert quote details into the required customer quote package format and deliver the information to the account manager on time.--- Track and retain new business quote data as per the new business RFQ log work guidance.--- Prepare and complete the procedure for engineering changes on existing business to meet customer requirements for timely information.--- Track all engineering quote data in the existing business RFQ log.--- Communicate effectively all detail of the quote packages to the Norplas staff responsible for providing feedback on manufacturing parameters and providing quotes for primary and secondary tooling.--- Maintain the data base for capacity utilization for molding, paint and assembly existing business using volume projections as directed by the General Manager. Input new business capacity utilization to determine the requirement for quote capital requests to the head office.--- Research and communicate information regarding Norplas' competitive position on new business.--- Track new business quotes awarded versus lost and analyze Norplas' pricing position in comparison to the competition.--- Develop and update as required an accurate Bill of Materials for all programs awarded to Norplas by part number.--- Follow-up on any additional information required by the customer to assist in completing the process of securing the paperwork necessary to close all open financial issues.--- Receive, track, file and distribute customer purchase orders.--- Participate as required in the preparation and presentation to customers or management of sales or technical reviews.--- Focus on continuous improvement of the Sales Administration's departmental performance objectives. Track and record the data for measuring progress towards meeting the objectives. Develop and execute action plans to improve the data and achieve performance goals.--- Update the information on the DIN and in QAD to keep the information current and accurate.--- Perform other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications/Requirements --- Associate's Degree or 6 years of job related experience. Additional Information --- Must be computer literate in Windows NT and in using the Internet.--- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and customer focussed.--- Must have prior cost estimating experience.--- Knowledge of injection molding, painting and assembly in the automotive industry preferred.
