Description:
Manages and coordinates Trust Operations and Trust Compliance for Civista Wealth Management. The Trust Operations & Compliance Manager demonstrates Civista Bank's mission to improve the financial lives of our employees and shareholders, to make a difference in the communities that we serve.

Requirements:
Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities, and Expectations :
Manages risk management by monitoring the use of established government documents and procedures and ensuring relationships are managed according to policies, so that satisfactory audits and service standards are met.
Mitigates difficult/controversial customer problems, prospective customers, or other department operational workflow; as well as serves as the key source for resolving technical trust system platform issues.
Management of Trust Operations staff activity by hiring, coaching, counseling, monitoring work, scheduling, training, disciplining and terminating as needed/required. Performs fair, accurate, honest employee performance appraisals within the timeline established.
Member of the Trust Management Committee. Compiles information from various areas of Civista Wealth Management for the Committee to review, approve and recommend to the Trust Committee regarding policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Member of the Board's Trust Committee. Compiles information from the Trust Management Committee that requires the Board's Trust Committee review and approval.
All other duties as assigned and any activities that support the key accountabilities.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field, or equivalent work experience in a trust department.
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
Good knowledge of estate planning including related taxes, securities, and insurance.
Solid working knowledge of trust compliance rules and regulations, tax laws, probate rules, and so forth.
Solid Computer literacy (Word, Excel) with accurate data entry skills; proficient knowledge of working with spreadsheet and creating formulas.
A high level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy and organizational skills required.
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
High level of confidentiality required.
Solid oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Work involves eye strain due to the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports.
Work involves ability to communicate professionally on the telephone, speak, read, write and hear.
Work involves ability to sit for long periods at a time; ability to learn in a reasonable amount of time.
Good supervisory skills.
Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions.
Work involves some travel to attend meetings, training, and so forth.
