Job Description Job Description CNC Maintenance Controls Technologist Location: Brighton, Michigan Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Shift: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift with a flexible start between 7:00–9:00 a.m.; overtime as needed Compensation: $28.00–$36.00 per hour, based on experience A day in this role Morning starts on the production floor, walking the CNC lines to verify overnight status and reviewing open work orders in the CMMS. You’ll triage equipment calls, perform rapid diagnostics, and dive into ladder logic on Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Siemens controls to isolate faults. As the day progresses, you’ll execute preventive maintenance to OEM specs, lockout/tagout (LOTO) equipment for safety, and collaborate with operators and engineers to fine-tune performance. You may level and align a newly rigged machine before lunch, then shift to root-cause analysis on a recurring hydraulic issue. Before clocking out, you’ll document parts used, time spent, and corrective actions, keeping uptime high and the shop running smoothly. What you’ll handle Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machining centers (Honor, Cincinnati, Hyundai, Kenrie, Okuma, Toyota, and Mitsubishi systems) Run diagnostic checks on control systems; read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Use ladder logic to pinpoint and correct faults on Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Siemens controls Execute and document PM activities in line with manufacturer recommendations Identify root causes for recurring failures; implement corrective and preventive actions Complete work orders and record time, repairs, and parts usage in the CMMS Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) and follow all safety and environmental procedures Support robotic cells (Fanuc Robodrill & Gorbel Mill) and assist with sensor calibration Service plant utilities, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems Assist with installation, rigging, alignment, and leveling of new machinery Partner with engineers, operators, and leadership to maximize reliability and throughput What makes you a great fit 5 years of industrial maintenance experience supporting CNC equipment Hands-on with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Siemens control platforms Comfortable troubleshooting 120V, 208V, and 480V (3-phase) circuits Fluent in reading blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic diagrams Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Experience with machine leveling, alignment, and geometric inspection Clear communicator and team collaborator Willing to work overtime based on maintenance priorities High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or journeyman card preferred Pay, perks, and growth $28–$36/hour, commensurate with experience Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and 401(k) Long-term advancement potential at a respected machining leader Consistent Monday–Friday schedule with available overtime Supportive culture with structured training and advancement Your toolbelt of skills Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems CNC Machine Repair CNC Machine Installation Maintenance and Repair Skills Mechanical Assembly Skills Troubleshooting CNC Machines CAD/CAM Software Machines & technologies you’ll use CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Dmg Mori Seiki, Doosan, Makino, Okuma, Haas) CNC Automation Solutions (Siemens, Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Dmg Mori Seiki, Makino) CNC Mill (5 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Haas, Okuma, Dmg Mori Seiki) Apply today Send your resume through this posting or call/text Dio at (517) 546-5627 for immediate consideration.
