At TeamSigma, we are seeking a forward-thinking Distribution Engineer for Planning and Protection who is passionate about leveraging technology to optimize and secure energy distribution systems. Our Engineering & Architecture department is directly involved in refining smart grid functionalities and improving infrastructure resilience through AI-driven analytics. This role is perfect for professionals keen on integrating cutting-edge technology with practical energy solutions to drive efficiency and sustainability within the energy sector. Design, assess, and implement distribution networks for reliability and efficiency using predictive modeling tools. Analyze and troubleshoot complex distribution circuits and equipment, including transformers, switchgears, and circuit breakers to enhance system reliability. Conduct fault analysis and mitigation strategies to improve fault handling and system protection. Work together with IT and Data Science teams to utilize AI insights for better predictive maintenance, planning, and operations. Ensure compliance with national and regional electric reliability and safety standards. Develop and maintain protective coordination studies and documentation. Participate in emergency response and recovery activities as needed for system failures or interruptions. Proficient in standard industry software (e.g., CYME, ETAP, Aspen) Strong understanding of power distribution principles, electrical protection systems, and fault analysis Capability to manage projects involving multi-disciplinary teams Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with AI and machine learning applications in an operational/industrial context is highly desirable Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred IEEE membership and certifications related to power and energy systems are advantageous
