Job Description:
Position Responsibilities:
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Evaluation of multiple Powerpack configurations in-vehicle using
different Engine, Transmission, MGU, Cooling, Air handling and
Final drive configurations and components.
Liaise directly or indirectly with suppliers of Powerpack modules
and components.
Component through to Installation and Assembly level Design release
responsibility.
Interface with internal stakeholders including IPT lead, Physical
Architect, Systems Engineers, Functional Leadership, FUPP Lead,
Chief Engineer, Logistics, Manufacturing and attribute
managers/stake holders.
Support internal report out to program stakeholders, customers and
organizational leadership.
Derive final design pathways and refine to design release and
approval using prescribed processes.
Support internal and external Milestones/Gateways.
Document and Report findings and outcomes.
Position Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Mechanical Engineering
discipline. Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrable experience with Transmission in conventional and
electrified powertrains is required.
PLM experience using TeamCenter required.
CREO experience required, other CAD packages are a plus.
5+ years of direct or related experience is ideal.
Experience in interrogation and manipulation using 3D Modeling
software.
Automotive and Heavy-Duty vehicle experience required. Military
land vehicle experience preferred.
Excellent analytical skills to appropriately size subsystems and
components.
Experience in interrogation and manipulation of data hosted by CAD
software
GD&T expertise a plus.
Powertrain electrification experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Mind-set to work collaboratively in a team environment for program
success.
Proven skills in the development of technical documents and oral
communication.
Must be a US Person and be able to secure a security clearance.
