About the Position
Global Mold Engineering is responsible for the design and technical support of all tire molds and related equipment for all regions in which Goodyear operates. The department also develops and maintains applications, tools and standards used in the design process. This position is responsible for development of projects with moderate complexity or working on complex projects in cooperation with more experienced personnel. The incumbent seeks solutions to technical problems, conducts work on assigned tasks, and exhibits an entry type level of knowledge.
This is a hybrid role, onsite 3 days/week in Findlay, Ohio.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of new technology with current department.
• Contribute to CAD Engineering of sidewall lettering through continuous automation projects.
• Develop and define project goals to meet specific business needs.
• Translate product needs to experimental data or design parameters.
• Work in a team environment towards bringing new product technologies to market.
  
  Required Education and Experience
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience CAD/MATLAB/Python.
    
    Skills and Abilities
    
    • Practical understanding of science and technology in the appropriate discipline.
    • Proficiency in statistical design and analysis; cause and effect analysis and risk analysis.
    • Ability to carry out assignments in a logical fashion using existing technology and standardized methods.
    • Basic organization, communication, and experimentation skills.
