About the Position The Maintenance Reliability Manager will lead the overall Maintenance and Reliability strategy and improvement efforts in the plant as well as overall responsibility for Maintenance and Reliability department while following administrative procedures to ensure that the work is performed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities Ensures all assigned maintenance activities are being performed safely and according to plant and corporate safety standards and policies.
Develops a high proficiency while working within the Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS)/SAP and utilizes its functionality in managing department activities.
Implements, manages, and governs overall maintenance strategies to include but not limited to Work Execution Management, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Reliability Centered Lubrication, Operator Care, and standardization activities.
Participates in daily maintenance & production coordination meetings
Reviews and interprets KPIs and develops methods for tracking performance to key divisional initiatives
Develop and track maintenance budgets and participates in plant audits and/or assessments
Identifies skill level of responsible personnel, evaluates performance, administers counseling and coaching, and seeks and identifies training opportunities as required.
Maintains accountability of personnel, delivers reward and discipline when necessary, and attends union meeting for grievance resolution as required.
Institute programs to ensure availability of equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplies
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
10 years' experience managing a complex manufacturing maintenance/engineering environment.
Supervisory experience
Skills and Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to explain and interpret information, ideas, or make recommendations on a daily basis.
Highly developed in conflict resolution
Strong leadership and technical decision making skills to provide effective direction and resolution
Capable of establishing positive working relationships and works well with individuals within and outside the work group
Strong administrative skills to utilize CMMS system, typing, MS Word and Excel
Self-starter and have a high degree of motivation others, delegating, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, strong team player and an ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment.
