Job Description:

Job Purpose: A shop mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing defective machinery and vehicles, diesel trucks, small engine repairs, and hydraulics. Shop mechanics identify the disrupted components by inspecting and running diagnostic tests and informing the owner of the necessary procedures they need to take.Duties/Responsibilities:

• Accurately assessing and diagnosing technical and mechanical failures in equipment as well as quality completion of repairs based on diagnosis.
• Proper completion and processing of service reports that specifically outline service assessment, diagnosis and completed repairs on all service jobs from start to finish. Exemplary organizational, written and verbal communication skills a must.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Position Requirements:
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience:
      • 5+ years experience in a mechanical environment required.
      • Required Skills:
        • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
        • Valid driver's license and clean DMV record.
        • Mechanical aptitude (working mechanical experience a plus).
        • Knowledge of hydraulic systems a plus..
        • Must pass background check and be able to work in a drug free environment.
