Freeman Company, located in Fremont, OH has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to support our tooling efforts. The Project Engineer is the key focal contact for the customer and within BMG for communication and requirements of the project. The role is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of assigned tooling projects to ensure customer satisfaction and accomplishment of project goals while supporting Sales efforts. Position will require some travel and some customer interaction.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and coordinate all phases of the project planning function.
• Develop and communicate project plans, schedules, budgets, and performance with all applicable departments.
• Responsible for all internal project related questions on site while working directly with the System Sales Manager to provide required feedback and team alignment in a timely manner.
• Monitors project status against goals/objectives as well as providing progress reporting throughout the project phases.
• Attend and participate in design reviews while ensuring the scope of work and cost estimates are being achieved.
• Prepare tooling estimates and proposals while working directly with System Sales Managers to ensure customer requirements and specifications are achieved.
• Processing of order entry for new orders, including revisions, as needed.
• Assist in sales presentation/calls, as needed.
• Develop, recommend, and participate in the implementation of programs designed to improve the unit's performance in the areas of project planning, resource utilization, budget compliance, schedule compliance and customer satisfaction. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform other related duties as may be required.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and policies as outlined in the BMG Employee Handbook.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Advanced studies in technical application or BS degree in relevant field preferred.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a planning position/function in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in thermoforming tooling design or precision tool and die processing preferred.
• Experience with project management tools and templates required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently, at least 25% of the time.
• A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
  ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
