  Tier I and tier II automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Engineer to work in their fast-paced, mass production manufacturing organization.  Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
   
  
  • 
    
  • Maintaining quality assurance standards on assigned lines 
    
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, including scrap reductions, improving efficiencies, etc.  
    
  • Coordinating with production and engineering to maintain and improve quality standards 
    
  • Gathering documentation and information to support the PPAP process 
    
  • Leading root cause analysis in the assigned area and establishing corrective actions 
    
  • Supporting new launch processes and event trials
    
  • Writing work instructions 
    
  • Hosting cross-functional meetings and completing problem solving 
    
  • Presenting quality results and metrics on a regular basis to the management team 
    
  • Other duties as delegated by management

    REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Engineer:
    1. Minimum of an Associate’s Degree
    2. At least 3-5 years in a similar manufacturing quality engineering position    
    3. Experience working in high volume, mass production environments 
    4. Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions
    5. Working knowledge of blueprint reading, ideally GD&T knowledge  
    6. Formal problem solving skills 
    7. Working knowledge of control plans 
    8. Experience making process improvements, such as scrap reductions, efficiency improvements, etc.
    9. Microsoft Office
    
    Skills preferred but NOT required:
    1. Quality certifications 
    2. Automotive supplier experience
    3. Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies 
    4. New model experience 
    5. Minitab 
    
    Candidates are preferred to be local to the Bowling Green, OH area.
