Be a part of and help shape the evolution of our company and contribute to healthy communities, and make a lasting, positive impact on society.We are seeking a Technical Editor/Writer to join our team in the Toledo, Ohio office.This person will help prepare environmental documents, technical reports, regulatory permits and plans, proposals, and invoices to clients on a variety of projects including, but not limited to, due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, natural resources and environmental planning, solid waste, geotechnical, land development, transportation, and renewable energy. This role also handles printing large plan sets and deliverables, as well as receiving mail and packages within the office.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Outlook, SharePoint, and Deltek Vision is an advantage. The candidate must have a solid background in technical editing and writing to assist with the preparation of technical documents and reports. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, and have excellent grammar, style, usage, proofreading, and editing skills. The candidate must be professional, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. Position hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and format proposals, estimates, correspondence, reports, permits, and other documents
• Provide a review of content for flow, structure, organization, inconsistencies, technical and grammatical errors
• Assist with proposals and marketing efforts
• Copying and binding reports and presentations
• Receive and distribute mail and packages
• Maintain filing system/organization of correspondence/account information
• Coordinate office functions and client-related meetings and functions
• Operate and maintain standard office equipment including computer, copier, postage meter and scale, and plotter
• Ensure interactions via phone, email, or in-person with clients and other company employees are professional and welcoming
• Collaborate with other office support staff, if needed, to ensure project deadlines are met
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with multiple departments
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to meet deadlinesQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Excellent writing and grammatical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently
  • Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
