The successful candidate will manage content creation for our breaking news site, as well as two news apps that focus on interactive storytelling, videos, photos, and graphics. The Assistant Managing Editor will manage content workflows for all digital platforms. We are looking for an idea generator who is well versed in digital news content. The successful candidate also will be an active member of a cross-disciplinary team for content ideas and social media strategies. We are looking for someone with a track record in journalism, with experience training and managing people, and good breaking-news instincts and experience. This editor will be actively involved in designing a staffing plan and helping hire newsroom employees to support digital transformation and acceptance. A minimum of five years of news experience, preferably on digital platforms, and two years of employee management experience are required, as is a college degree or equivalent.
