Job Description:

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY EXPERIENCE1. Answer the Utilization Management phone queue assisting providers with a variety of inquiries. Provider calls consist of requests for services, inquisition on status of service request, claim status, authorization, and appeal, what requires a prior authorization, locating forms, and portal access.2. Reviews and assigns all incoming facsimile requests to the appropriate workstation within our care management system.3. Assists in entering authorizations for requests that do not require a medical necessity review by an LPN or RN.4. Reviews pended claims spreadsheet created by the Claims department for any authorizations errors and correct those errors. Returns spreadsheet for reprocessing of claims.5. Review daily batch or systems authorization error reports ascertaining why authorizations did not move from the care management system to claim payment system and have authorizations corrected.6. Enter Advantage newborn birth information into the system daily to get the baby added into the system and to have needed information available to report to the state.7. Monitor Mobile Meals Outlook folder daily for requests of contact information, change in status, and invoices getting information to appropriate staff.8. Process out-of-plan worksheets daily to ensure the provider is an approved provider and entered the claims payment system.9. Daily monitor and process Macess member organization determination requests, ensuring requests are addressed and processes the information back into Macess and back to member services timely.10. Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High School Diploma or GEDSkills: Experience in medical terminology, and ICD coding.Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of office experience preferredExcellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills.Ability to plan, coordinate and organize multiple priorities among various company workstations.Ability to answer and effectively communicate telephonically.Strong computer application skills including Microsoft Outlook, Skype, and ExcelJob Types: Contract, TemporarySalary: $15.00 - $21.00 per hourSchedule: 8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate: Maumee, OH 43537: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education: High school or equivalent (Required)Experience: Administrative: 2 years (Required) Medical terminology: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
