Job Description:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB -The Associate / Senior Associate, Corporate
Development will be an integral member of the Corporate Development
organization. - This role assists in driving Owens Corning's
corporate development initiatives by working with the business
teams in the development and execution of global strategic
initiatives, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and
divestitures. The Associate / Senior Associate, Corporate
Development manages day-to-day project management throughout
transaction and is responsible for financial model development /
valuation. -Reports to: - Leader or Director, Corporate Development

Build relationships within the
organization, cross-functionally, and with key stakeholders; ensure
effective contact to remain aligned with enterprise
objectivesUnderstand the strategic direction of the company's
businesses and execute functional strategies to support and enhance
business results; be knowledgeable of the project work that
supports this direction and implications to the businessUnderstands
Owens Corning business and financial model, the relationships with
our customers and understands what it takes to ensure their success
-Developing and Executing a Strategy
- Key project manager company-wide from initial project concept
through transaction closing on selected projects
- Coordinates internal (including senior leaders) and external
resources through execution process
- Build a network of external resources (bankers, PE, service
providers/consultants) -Leading the Daily OperationsProvide
analytical and insightful support to various strategic projects.
Leads the analysis of projects by
working closely with the business units and cross-functional
leadership. Conduct data collection and market research related to
the topic of M&A strategy and other corporate
initiatives.Consolidate, synthesize and interpret collected
information to inform key strategic decisions.Perform comprehensive
and in-depth company and industry research. -Build and maintain
financial models on strategic opportunities.
- Prepare complex financial analyses and models. - Work with
business units and other internal diligence teams to create
detailed, bottoms-up driven investment case financial models.
- Develop scenario analyses to model different economic and
financial situations.
- Perform and hold responsibility for robust valuation (DCF, LBO,
etc.) and investment returns (IRR, ROIC, etc.) analyses for
potential M&A projects. -Prepare presentations that allow
executives, business and functional teams to quickly understand
logic and assumptions on an opportunity.
- Prepares presentations that follow a logically reasoned, data
supported approach. - - -Provide project management skills during
the course of the project.
Assist in the coordination of
internal and external resources in the due diligence process for
M&A transactions.Create project plans and timelines during the
planning process.Identify key diligence items and escalate to
management as necessary. - Summarize key diligence findings in
presentations to be used for executive briefings. - - -JOB
REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or
Economics
- MBA from top tier business school an asset but not required
-EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years work experience, with a preference for
experience in Investment Banking and/or Management Consulting
working in an M&A capacity, corporate development, or other
relevant experience in Fortune 500 companies
- Complex project leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to function in a highly-matrixed structure
across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries
