Job Description:
Work Details: Part Time - 3 days/week. Must be available on
Mondays and Tuesdays.
A full-time position may be available if the candidate is willing
to support Accounting and A/P tasks in addition to Payroll.
The Payroll Specialist will work collaboratively with management
teams, department supervisors, human resources, and employees to
support timely and accurate payroll processing for multiple
locations on staggered pay cycles. A successful candidate will be
detail-oriented, organized, and have the technical aptitude to
become a superuser in Kingston's Infor WFM and ADP payroll
processing systems.
Responsibilities:
Support biweekly payroll processing tasks in Infor Workforce
Management and ADP Workforce Now while ensuring compliance with
company policies and accuracy of pay records.
Partner with Supervisors and HR to review employment changes during
the current pay period. (i.e. New hires/terminations, transfers/pay
changes, LOA, bonus programs/premiums, etc.)
Enter employee bank details for direct deposit and setup tax
withholdings.
Process/verify employee garnishments and deductions.
Review employee timesheets for accuracy prior to payroll
processing
Manage the export/import of pay data batches
Process payroll correction requests and manage adjustment files
Manage the calculation and processing of employee advances as
needed
Quickly respond to time-sensitive payroll issues.
Assist with system data audits to ensure compliance and support
reporting needs
Additional tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
High attention to detail
Strong aptitude for systems including ERP, HRIS, Payroll, Time and
Attendance, and Scheduling.
Infor CloudSuite Global HR (GHR), Infor Workforce
Management(Workbrain), and/or ADP Workforce Now experience
(preferred)
Strong commitment to accuracy and deadlines
Maintains the confidentiality of all payroll, employee, and
proprietary information
Critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to new systems and
processes
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing,
accounting/tax/business office support, banking, or HRIS/ERP
systems support
High School Diploma/GED is required
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human
Resources, Information Systems or related field preferred. Any
combination of education and experience which would provide an
equivalent background will also be considered.
