Accounting/Payroll Specialist accurately prepares, processes and
accounts for Hourly Payroll, supplier invoices, Fixed Assets, and
miscellaneous payments utilizing QAD, Paylocity, and Fixed Assets
programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential
duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not
limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and
expected to be performed.Prepare and audit weekly Hourly Payroll
including interfacing with time and attendance, outside payroll
processing company and corporate payroll personnel.Review payroll
journal entries and account balances for accuracy.Process all
Accounts Payable transactions, interacting with vendors, local
staff and Corporate AP personnel regarding invoices and payments.
Maintain local bank account activity, including generating manual
checks, making deposits, requesting funds transfers from corporate,
and monthly account balancing/reconciliation.Prepare Hourly labor
reports for management utilizing labor reporting systems and
payroll information.Maintain fixed asset records, including
acquisitions and disposals.Prepare monthly account analysis reports
in conjunction with the Sr. Accountant to assure accuracy of
financial information.Ensure that all records are maintained in
accordance with company recordkeeping procedures.Support Corporate
Accounting and HR department on assorted projects as required.Other
tasks/functions as assigned. Requirements:Associate's or Bachelor's
degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred.Minimum 3-5
years related experience.Minimum 3-5 years' experience with ERP
payment systemsEffective verbal and written communication
skillsGood mathematical and accounting skillsAn understanding of
payroll and benefits and related regulationsIndependent thinker
with willingness to give and receive feedbackAbility to handle
confidential information discreetlyExhibits integrity and critical
decision makingAbility to work independentlyAble to solve problems
and determine a course of actionTroubleshoots and anticipates
problemsHas the ability to influence others outside the work
groupCan prioritize the work and coordinate with othersFosters a
team environmentExhibits a sense of urgency to get the job
doneUnderstands, responds, and supports fostering good customer/
supplier relationshipsAccounts Payable, Payroll and General
Accounting activities experience preferred. General ledger
knowledgeExperience with QAD, Paylocity, Kronos, and/or fixed asset
